We visited Kirk Sandall Junior and Infant School in Doncaster a couple of weeks back to deliver our outstanding first-aid training. It was our second visit to the school, and we’ve ensured that all children in years 1 to 6 have received life-saving training.
Last time we visited, we ensured the infants learned about safety and calling for an ambulance. Most recently, it was the turn of the juniors!
As always, we’ve had some fantastic feedback from students and staff alike.
Year 5 pupils said:
“Matt was really helpful.”
“My favourite part was practising abdominal thrusts.”
“It was super fun.”
“It has inspired me to be a nurse.”
Miss Scott, Year 5 teacher, added, “The children were engaged throughout. Matt made it fun and practical. The children have not stopped talking about it all day. Thanks, Matt.”
Meanwhile, in the Year 6 class, pupils said, “My favourite part of this amazing experience was when we had the chance to use and see a defibrillator,” and “It’s helpful to know how to help someone.”
Year 6 teacher Mrs Francis added, “What an amazing experience for all the children. Dispelling the myths about CPR. It was a super practical session-clearly explained. Thank you Sam.”
Thank you Kirk Sandall for a wonderful experience with your pupils. We’ll see you again soon!
