First Aid Training in Schools – Spring Recap

Here at First Aid Schools, we’ve had a super busy spring term (and we’re not finished yet!) and have received some awesome feedback from our schools. Take a look at some of the feedback below…

Outwood Freestone Academy

Our first visit to Outwood Freestone Academy was an incredible experience. Every Year 11 student received hands-on training in Basic Life Support, ensuring they left with both a qualification and essential knowledge that could one day save a life. As they prepare for the next chapter of their lives, these skills will serve them well in emergencies.

What They Said:

Lizzy Cutting (SENDCO):”A great day, well delivered. Very informative and immersive for our students. Great hands-on experience.”

Student Feedback:”I learned a lot and laughed along the way.” – Evie, Y11″It’s been mint.” – Leon, Y11″It’s been very helpful for emergencies in the future.” – Edie, Y11

Westcliffe Primary School

Our first-ever visit to Westcliffe Primary in Scunthorpe was met with enthusiasm and curiosity. We had an amazing time working with their incredible pupils, providing them with a foundation in emergency response and first aid.

What The Staff Said:

Y5/6 Teachers:”It was fun & important to learn how to save lives. Some of the children had never seen the defibrillator before and were interested to learn about it. Great pace and engagement from Matt.”

Miss Baddeley (Y5/6 Teacher):”Sam was super engaging and helped the children understand at an age-appropriate level. Giving children the opportunity to actually work with equipment like EpiPens was excellent.”

Mrs G Brown (LKS2 Lead):”Engaging & fast-paced.”

Mrs Armstrong (Y3/4 Teacher):”The children were really engaged & learnt lots of ways to help and stay safe. All children had the chance to join in, share ideas, and practise. Great session.”
